Leeds Force is an English basketball club based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. It was formed in 2006 in a partnership between Leeds Metropolitan University and Leeds-North East School Sports Partnership and adopted the name Leeds Carnegie after Carnegie College, which forms part of the University's sports department.
In 2009, after just three years since being established, Carnegie earned promotion to Division 1 and cemented a place as one of the league's frontrunners. They were crowned National Cup winners in 2013 and have won the Division 1 Championship Final in 2014, following a 71–65 victory over Reading Rockets.
In 2014, after six seasons in Division 1, the club were accepted into the country's pre-eminent competition, the British Basketball League, along with its senior women's team who stepped up to the WBBL. In view of the move and to gain more professional independence, the club cut its ties with Leeds Metropolitan University and rebranded as Leeds Force.
