Jamie Richard Harnwell is a retired Australian football player. He joined Perth Glory in 1998 from Western Australia State League side Sorrento FC and quickly joined the starting eleven.
In the 2003/2004 season the National Soccer League was disbanded, Harnwell had the option to continue his career overseas in England but he decided to play for Western Australian State League club Sorrento FC with his younger brother Todd while he waited for the A-League to begin.
During the 2006/07 A-League season, Glory coach Ron Smith used Harnwell in a striking capacity and Harnwell scored the opening goal in the 2–1 win over Newcastle Jets. On 26 November Harnwell netted the first hat-trick of the A-League season in the 4–1 win against the New Zealand Knights.
Against Adelaide in November 2007, Harnwell played his 200th game for the Glory, the third player to do so after Bobby Despotovski and Scott Miller.
Harnwell was a part of the 2009/2010 squad that made the Hyundai A-League Finals for the first time in the club's history. The club announced that Harnwell had signed on for the 2010/11 season in April 2010. On 3 October 2010, Harnwell broke Bobby Despotovski's record of 241 appearances for Perth Glory to become the most capped player of all time. Harnwell retired from professional football after making a record 256 appearances for Perth Glory.
